Kittel's Theological Dictionary of the New Testament (TDNT, 10 vols) and the Theological Dictionary of the Old Testament (TDOT, 15 vols) offer a pretty comprehensive overview of NT Greek and OT Hebrew words as they were used in the Septuagint, Judaism, the NT itself, and in early Christianity. The TDNT has an index volume (X) that allows one to search by English or Greek words and by Scripture text; the TDOT does not yet have an index volume available.
