Hello Bernie,

I'm sorry you are having some trouble finding resources, but thanks for checking with us about it.  First of all, Oxford Music Online, which includes the New Grove and several other Oxford music dictionaries, was discontinued last summer.  It simply became too expensive over against its relatively low use.  The MSM office was aware of this cancellation, but it may not have been disseminated to students.  We regret we had to do this because it is a wonderful (albeit pricey) resource.  We have the second edition of the Grove in print here in the library.  Note that the University of Minnesota subscribes to it online, as do a number of colleges in the area.

In terms of finding the online resources we do have, you were looking in the right place, but it does appear that the Naxos resource is missing.  This is a mistake on our part and we will work to get it back on the list as soon as possible.  I'm sorry for this error, but again, it's good that you spoke up.  I will let you know when we have Naxos restored to the list.

Any other questions or problems, please let me know.

Thanks,

Bruce Eldevik
