 When citing an article in a dictionary/encyclopedia composted of numerous articles from a variety of contributors, follow the pattern set out for citing "Part of an Edited Book" (see the example in the Chicago/Turabian Style Guide linked under the General Citation Examples tab of the Writing and Style Guide.  See also example 14.112 in the Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition.  If the dictionary/encyclopedia is more than one volume, add the specific volume number and a colon to the pagination, e.g. 2:177-79.
